My Background

Hi again! This page is here to offer a little more about who I am.

I've been working in the eating disorder treatment field in different capacities since 2018, but I had an interesting road of getting here.

My first job out of college was in Washington, D.C., where I worked in nutrition policy, mainly alongside the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. On the glamorous side of things, I met a lot of powerful politicians and got invited to big conversations and fancy events. On the flipside, I was confronted with how disordered the people around me were when it came to food.  It was a tough pill to swallow in realizing the work I was being asked to do was contributing to the development of eating disorders. Ethically, I knew I couldn't continue.

I ran so far away from nutrition policy that I stumbled into the eating disorder treatment field and haven't looked back since. In this work, I've found immense fulfillment from helping both adults and adolescents gain freedom and their sense of self back by embracing food as medicine.
